Tell us a bit about yourself:

Drifter who’s about to go back to school this fall.
Someone who loves visual arts and wish to make images that move people.

What do you make?

I make photographs and help people make photographs.
Sometimes drawings and paintings when I am not too lazy.

Where else on the web can we find you?

I am most active in my flickr account.
You can also see me once in a while at deviantart.
I have a ModelMayhem page to look for people to work with.
My personal website is also coming up.
Nothing is there yet but the address is www.sin-song.com
Blog for random and other stuff.

What did you dream about last night?

I don’t really remember, but likely something about models/photo shoots since I have been spending a lot of time looking through models’ profiles.

I remember the day before I dreamt about a hole in my face and a thread-like glowing worm is growing out of it and getting bigger and bigger.

It hurts a lot.

What inspires you?

Relationship, tensions between people, love, sex, fondness, movies and personal experience.
Nothing inspires me more than my own perverted imagination I guess.

Where do you live and what do you like about it?

Right now I am between places. So I do not really live anywhere. I am currently in NYC, but going to China (where I was born and raised) next month, and Singapore (where my mom lives and my high school is) the month after that. If everything goes in accordance with plan I will move to NYC this summer or fall.

What is your biggest fear?

worms, caterpillars and closely located bumps on skin.
Being mediocre and impassionate.
Losing the ones I love.

Name a few of your favorite movies \ books \ websites \ bands:

Cinema:
I think for me it was also like a growing process, I like different kind of cinema in different period of my life.
I was very influenced by all the stuff by Shunji Iwan (especially All about Lily Chou-Chou) when I first started to watch movies.

Then I moved on to Kim Ki-duk. My favourite of his work is The Bow. I really love the Vengeance Trilogy by Park Chan-wook as well.
David Lynch was my favourite director for a long time, I still love his work a lot.
I like the new ones that Woody Allen made, and the old ones by Pedro Almodovar.
Right now I am really interested in watching more older and classic films. Andrei Tarkovsky, Sergei Parajanov and Matthew Barney are my current favourite directors.

Books:
I do not read a lot. I used to read a lot of novels when I was a kid but now I mainly look at pictures more and read short passages of information online.
I don’t even remember when and what was the last book I finished. I read more factual stuff now and biographies of artists.

Music:
sound tracks of movies
Nick Cave
Tom Waits
Leonard Cohen
Old jazz
Amy Winehouse
Mike Patton
Eason Chan
World’s end girlfriend
Leonidas Kavakos
And many others

What are you really good at? What are you really bad at:

I think I am good at assemble parts together, like a new computer, pieces of a table, etc.
I am really bad at getting up early and being on time. I am trying to change that though.

What is your favorite thing to eat?

My grandma’s dishes…. (gets me dreamy just to think about them) that’s the best food in the world.

How would you like to be remembered?

Someone special and capable.

What is the most embarrassing thing that ever happened to you?

I don’t really remember, maybe it was when I did not speak English and was in an English-speaking country by myself. I get very embarrassed when I try to tell or express something but I could not do it properly.

Anything else you would like to say:

I am always looking for people to collaborate. If anyone is interested please contact me through my email

And thank you very much Aya and Ned for the feature, invite me to your exhibitions next time.
